Caesarea

Ancient name
Caesarea Maritima
Modern name
Qesarya, Keisarya
Modern country
Israel
Caesarea (known as Caesarea Maritima to distinguish it from other cities of the same name, such as Caesarea Philippi) served as an important port under the Latin Kingdom of Jersualem, but Baybars destroyed its fortifications after its conquest by the Mamluks in 1265 and the city was abandoned. As such its presence in La sfera and on its maps supports the idea that Dati's geography is broadly historical rather than strictly practical. Campbell #1523.
