The port of Chessi appears at the head of the Persian Gulf just east of Basra on numerous contemporary world maps, including the Cresques Map or Catalan Atlas, but we have not thus far been able to associate it with a known place. Like its better-known neighbor Basra, it is mentioned in Dati's poem but it never appears on any of the Sfera maps.
