Cumania, a coastal site in the Sea of Tana, is one of a group of toponyms that appears only on a single Sfera map (Ashb7) with an unusual amount of detail around the Black Sea. Note that the port of Cumania is different from the broader region by the same name, north of the Caspian Sea. Campbell #1175; Gordeev 253–4.
