A major waterway for medieval central Europe from the Alps to its outlet on the Black Sea, the Danube River was also important for fishing. It only appears in 2 Sfera manucripts, however, in both cases as a note: Qui entra il fiume danubbio ("The Danube River enters [the sea] here").
