Foa (now Fuwwah, Egypt) is a city in the Nile delta about 30 kilometers south of Rosetta, i.e. further up the river toward Cairo. In the Middle Ages it was bigger than Rosetta and had a large Christian population with its own bishop. Campbell #1549.
