Persian Gulf
The Persian Gulf goes by many names on the Sfera maps, including Gulf of Arabia (sinus arabicus, seno arabico and variants), Indian Sea or Gulf of India (mare d'india or sinum indicum), Chaldean Sea (mar caldeo), and Persian Sea (mare di persia). To add to the confusion, some of these (such as sinus arabicus) are also used for the Red Sea or Indian Sea.
