Sabea, Sheba

Ancient name
Saba
Modern name
Yemen, or possibly Eritrea
Sabea or Sheba corresponds to the land of the Biblical figure of the Queen of Sheba, which is often identified as the ancient kingdom of Saba, located in southern Arabia and the Horn of Africa in present-day Yemen and Ethiopia. There was however some uncertainty among scholars of Dati's day, as some traditions associated Sheba with Ethiopia and the Kingdom of Meroe on the other side of the Gulf of Aden.
