Saline may be either a name or a description, marking a region of coastal salt flats on the Sea of Tana. It is one of a group of toponyms that appears only on a single Sfera map (Ashb7) with an unusual amount of detail around the Black Sea. Campbell #1174; Gordeev 254–5.
This toponym does not appear in the poem, only on the maps accompanying it.
