Scotia

Ancient name
Caledonia
Modern name
Scotland
Modern country
United Kingdom
The toponym Scotia was originally used in the late Roman period to refer to Ireland, but by the late Middle Ages it generally referred exclusively to what we now call Scotland (as opposed to Ireland, for which forms of either Hibernia or Ireland were used). Variants of Scotia are quite rare in La sfera maps, and it's fairly clear from the two cases where it does appear that it's being used to refer to Scotland rather than Ireland.
