The ruined city of Troy is usually noted at the northwest corner of Asia Minor, between its western coast (with Lesmirre, Foia, and Landermitti) and the Dardanelles. While some manuscripts simply note Troia with a drawing of a city, more commonly Troy is depicted in flames and/or ruin, some with past-tense labels to match: qui fu troiai ('Troy was here').
